* What led up to the situation?
After a motherboard upgrade, chromium and all other available versions
of
the browser failed to run.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Trying other versions of chrome caused the same error message and core
dump.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Suspicion that the chrome browsers have a race condition bug in the
initialization process, triggered by the higher CPU clock speed.
The initial browser with a 125... version which failed was operating
fine with the old motherboard running at 2GHz.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
