Package: totem-mozilla Version: 1.4.1-1 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
I'm not sure why, but the Totem plug-in for Mozilla-based browsers (Epiphany in my case) refuses to play certain files over the network. How to reproduce: Go to http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger/test.html, try to play either of the AVI videos. You'll get the following message: Totem could not play 'fd://0'. Cannot play this file over the network. Try downloading it to disk first. Expected behavior: Preferredly the plug-in would play those files over network, or follow its own suggestion and download them to disk and then play them. Alternatively, it could avoid registering itself as a handler for media types it cannot play as a plug-in, thus letting other plug-ins (such as MPlayerplug-in) handle them. Note that MPEG and Quicktime play alright and MPlayerplug-in is used (here) for FLI. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-ck8 Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages totem-mozilla depends on: ii totem-gstreamer 1.4.1-1 A simple media player for the Gnom Versions of packages totem-mozilla recommends: ii epiphany-browser [www-browser 2.14.2.1-1 Intuitive GNOME web browser ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.1-4 WWW browsable pager with excellent - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFEhIj8823633cP2P8RArncAKCXESpF2NiFEFfnA9FnrUanJFmPcwCbBsw2 pKnGh5XB77+E1xJuyATndx8= =IoXu -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
