I see. One argument for adding it is to ensure consistency between Linux distributions, allowing documentation mentioning "pkcon what-provides" to be valid on most Linux distributions. Then again, the same could be said for using appstreamcli. And there is not really a reason it should only work with one of them. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen
