Package: debhelper Version: 5.0.35 Severity: minor Hi, this is indeed related to #242834, dh_md5sums happily overwrites DEBIAN/md5sums if it is present. I'm not sure if this holds as a bug, my idea was to manually add some files to DEBIAN/md5sums and then dh_md5sums (the reverse (i.e. appending after dh_md5sums) is not possibile if you are using CDBS like I am, perhaps this bug belongs to CDBS, feel free to reassing)
