Package: libpam-p11 Version: 0.1.2-2 Severity: minor
i'm using libpam-p11 with the openct framework. when i try to log in at the console (via login), i get an odd error message (the line after the login: prompt shows up in red): Debian GNU/Linux testing/unstable squeak tty1 squeak login: dkg winscard_clnt.c:320:SCardEstablishContextTH() Cannot open public shared file: /var/run/pcscd.pub Password for token OpenSC Card (dkg): Last login: Tue Jun 6 16:30:50 2006 on tty1 Linux squeak 2.6.15-1-686 #2 Mon Mar 6 15:27:08 UTC 2006 i686 The programs included with the Debian GNU/Linux system are free software; the exact distribution terms for each program are described in the individual files in /usr/share/doc/*/copyright. Debian GNU/Linux comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by applicable law. No mail. [0 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ Note that logging in works properly, without any trouble. /etc/pam.d/common-auth contains only the line: auth required pam_p11_opensc.so /usr/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so and /etc/pam.d/login is untouched from the default. the error message about /var/run/pcscd.pub also shows up in my screensaver. i have no need for pcscd to my knowledge, so i'm not sure why the system should be complaining about it.
