Package: libdb4.4 Version: 4.4.20-4 Severity: important When libdb4.4 is installed, it doesn't prevent libdb4.3-dev to be installed at the same time. However, this combination is guaranteed to cause a segfault on the DB_ENV->open() call.
Recompiling against libdb4.4-dev fixes the issue. Therefore, libdb4.4 should somehow be linked to libdb4.4-dev, and prevent libdb4.3-dev to be installed at the same time. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.14-2-powerpc Locale: LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libdb4.4 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
