Hello, I am now running for quite some time with mingetty without noticing any problems (I use the console extensivly). This is on amd64, I can test on ppc as well if you need.
I can also test "ordinary" gettys if you like. Otherwise I suggest
trying to replay getty by mingetty, but I don't know if that is
possible (see my last message for details).
Any suggestions how to debug/fix this bug appreciated.

P.S. I just saw the merged bug report. Remember, that possible more
and more people will use their keyboards, and remember, that it
is not only about missing functionality of the backspace, but
also other programs behaving strangly *after* login!
