#1039253 (sysvinit but no systemd unit) popped up on BOTD today. #1081653 notes that the upstream has deprecated lnpd. Quoth: DEPRECATION NOTICE: The lnphost project was designed to replace this lnpd project. Since that time, the ir-server program now included with brickOS-bibo has been built out as the successor to both lnpd and lnphost. As such, this project is deprecated and has been archived. Please direct any issues or discussion to ir-server in the superseding brickOS-bibo project. brickOS-bibo is a distribution of another kernel entirely, and "ir-server in brickOS-bibo" is https://github.com/BrickBot/brickOS-bibo/blob/d12967e52c4ad15ebb6be76d9b930e59cd748332/util/host/ir-server.c#L55 which is not compatible with lnpd, with a current SYNOPSIS of lnpd [-emseconds] [-f] [-l] [-mnumber] [-n] [-pport] [-r] [-ttty_device] [-vlevel] Which would just be a new package, then. The current popcon is inst=2 (old=2). The Package Salvage Team is in consensus on this.
