android-androresolvd is inst=4 (vote=2 old=2) There is no upstream site per se. There was a link to the upstream tarball: androresolvd_1.3-0.tar.gz (next to androresolvd_1.3-0.dsc) under https://web.archive.org/web/20110428133511/http://sven-ola.dyndns.org/repo/pool/source/ The entire upstream site is now dead, and redirects to ads (link archive.orged manually). This package is equivalent to while sleep 2; do adb shell 'getprop net.dns1; getprop net.dns2' | sed 's/^/nameserver ' | resolvconf -a android done and doesn't work with Android ≥8, which doesn't have the properties (https://developer.android.com/about/versions/oreo/android-8.0-changes#o-pri). #1039126 (ships sysv-init script without systemd unit) is open since 2023-07.
