Package: obs-cli
Version: 0.4.0-1+b12
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I tried to use obs-cli with the version of obs-studio that comes with debian trixie. It just won't work - even on the same host. Got an error which can be translated to "this version of obs-cli is not compatible with the current websocket-version of obs-studio". As you might know, obs-websocket is part of obs-studio and not an external plugin, anymore. It still has a revision and that counts 5.x while obs-cli that comes with debian trixie is only working with 4.x-versions.

I found out that the homepage of debian's obs-cli points to

https://github.com/muesli/obs-cli

which doesn't seem to offer the latestversion. At least I found a compatible obs-cli at

https://github.com/pschmitt/obs-cli

, which seems to be the place where obs-cli sees an ongoing development. The version number here is 0.8.2.

Nevertheless: It doesn't make sense to deliver an obs-cli which doesn't work with the obs-studio of the same repository, so, please consider packing one that works… Thanks in advance!
