Yes it seems that at least in their Qt6 versions the SDDM greeters other than Plasma’s breeze don’t correctly detect whether they’re running in a touch configuration and so they’re always showing the virtual keyboard. The default Plasma install uses sddm-theme-debian-breeze which correctly detects this condition and won’t show the virtual keyboard without a reason. I’ll probably move the dependency on qt6-virtualkeyboard-plugin from sddm itself to the greeter themes that correctly supports touch detection since enough people are seeing this, but it would be better if all greeter themes or SDDM itself fix the issue. For people being bothered by the issue and not needing the virtual keyboard you can already uninstall the qt6-virtualkeyboard-plugin and be done. Happy hacking, -- Aurélien
