I merged a patch upstream that purges the subprocess environments and
sets HOME etc to a temporary directory which **should** cause the
permission-denied error to go away.

The commit SHA is 1fa33cc36d54fd6c0b0af6fcbcce233497339ed4:

https://git.meli-email.org/meli/meli/commit/1fa33cc36d54fd6c0b0af6fcbcce233497339ed4

It should clean-apply on the previous release and could be cherry-picked
for debian until it is included in a future release, which should be
soon-ish.
