Package: jabber-jud
Severity: important

I tried to add a Jud service to my jabber client by installing
jabber-jud (0.5-3). Unfortunately the information given in
/usr/share/doc/jabber-jud/README(.Debian) didn't help me set up a
working Jud service. The daemon is running but the
/var/log/jabber/error.log just reads:

20060615T08:19:44: [alert] (localhost): hostname maps back to
ourselves!- No service defined for this hostname, can not handle
request. Check jabberd configuration.
20060615T08:19:44: [notice] (localhost): failed to establish connection
20060615T08:19:44: [notice] (localhost): bouncing a packet to localhost
from [EMAIL PROTECTED]/Kopete: Server Connect Failed

Of course I want to run the Jud service on the same machine as the
Jabber daemon itself. So I don't know why it's complaining that the
hostname maps back to itself.

I'm giving this bug the severity "important" although I assume the
package doesn't work at all and thus should become "grave". Two other
ancient bug reports are open for this package that deal with similar
problems.

Please take a look at it. Thanks.
