Package: bluefish
Version: 2.2.16-1+b1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Thank you very much for maintaining Debian's
bluefish package.
I like how it's a
free and
open source
way to maintain
simple and
portable
html.
The main reason I'm writing is to report a bug.
It happens when I try to print.
Here's how I can duplicate it.
Maybe you can too.
1.) Run bluefish from the command line with
$ bluefish
2.) Type arbitrary text into its window titled
"Untitled 0".
I typed "Hello world".
3.) Try to print by using the menu path...
File -> Print...
4.) Bluefish opens a print window.
It
hangs on "Getting printer information..." and
the print window's "Print" button is grayed out.
A screen shot should be attached.
I expected the print window's "Print" button to
not be grayed out (so I could print).
An imperfect workaround is to
use GIMP to capture a screen shot of the window titled
"Untitled 0",
export it to a file in PDF format and
send the PDF file to the printer from the
command line with
$ lpr screen_shot.pdf
I hope that makes sense.
It'd be cool if you help fix the bug.
Feel free to let me know if you happen to have any
questions or concerns.
Kind regards,
Kingsley
