is your deny because of resources or do you really don't see the problem?

A ticket/bugreport is not about resources. If you agree with the problem I
do describe, leave the ticket open.

We will think about what need to be done to solve it. No matter how much
and long it does take. I am aware that this might trigger a bunch of tasks
that could take decades.

You don't have to solve the problem. But as maintainer you have to agree
or disagree if the problem is real or not. This is the signal other contributors
need to decide if they will invest resources into a solution.
