It's pretty clear that you had a local customization that broke your documents, and the packages are okay. Is there a directory /local_home/manuel/.texmf-config/, too? If yes, this might contain customizations you made somewhen and want to keep. But it could also contain broken or misconfigured files that will make the problem reoccurr.
