Sure, I do confirm the bug is not reproducible anymore.

And just for the record, the «offending» advice was located in a file
included within spamassassin package 3.3.2-5¹, inside
«/etc/default/spamassassin», and looked like this:

***
# Cronjob
# Set to anything but 0 to enable the cron job to automatically update
# spamassassin's rules on a nightly basis
CRON=0
***

Nowadays, and almost 12 years later ;-), current spamassassin package²
does not ship the «/etc/default/spamassassing» file anymore, so problem
is gone.

Thanks for looking at this!
