Hi Al, Thanks a lot for reporting this issue and sorry for the late response. I've now had a closer look at this and can confirm the issue you describe. Whilst your patch (Thanks for that btw.!) does indeed make it go away, I feel it is a bit too general and may make mindi not give any messages where it really should. I therefore include an alternative patch that deals with things a bit more specifically: I've found that there are actually two separate issues here which the attached patch deals with explicitly and individually: 1) lvmiopversion is not a symlink and shouldn't be treated as such. 2) pvdata and lvmcreate_initrd simply don't exist in LVM2 simply and thus shouldn't be checked in the first place if we have an LVM2 kernel.
