Package: munin-plugins-core
Version: 2.0.76-5
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
the smart_ plugin behaves inconsistently for the Temperature_Celsius
value, possibly due to newer smartctl.

In the past it reported the Temperature in Celsius, now it seems to
report "100" for many drives, but also other values for drive some models.

A quick fix for getting the temperature Celsius is adapting the script:

        if key == "Temperature_Celsius":
                        value = tokens[9]

But I wonder what's the desired behavior. As there is als a
hddtemp_smartctl plugin that works correctly, maybe the behavior here
should be returning 100 as healthy indicator? But with some drives
returning other values in the column (I think SSDs?), which don't seem
to be comparable with the others.

with kind regards,
Alex
