uart_2ndstage=1 is a real gem when debugging device selection and boot process on the Raspberry Pi. Please consider adding code to the /etc/kernel.d/postinst/ script that optionally generates that option in config.txt. I understand that this option has some side effects, so it is probably not a good idea to set the value to 1 by default. Greetings Marc
