Thank you! I'm sorry for not having gotten back to you here. gnupg2 accepted a build profile pkg.gnupg2.gpgvonly that severely trims its Build-Depends and also gets libftdi out the loop. Dependencies annotates <!nocheck> generally do not affect bootstrapping (native or cross). If one desires running tests, the way to go is first to nocheck bootstrap and then to rebuild stuff with tests enabled. Should we close this bug as "not needed" already?
