Thank you! I'm sorry for not having gotten back to you here. gnupg2
accepted a build profile pkg.gnupg2.gpgvonly that severely trims its
Build-Depends and also gets libftdi out the loop. There is no urgency
about this change.

If such a profile poses a non-trivial maintenance cost, it probably is
better to not have it in the first place. For now, please consider
libftdi irrelevant to cross bootstrap again. I note though that dropping
boost without also dropping Python likely is not very useful in
practical terms.

Dependencies annotates <!nocheck> generally do not affect bootstrapping
(native or cross). If one desires running tests, the way to go is first
to nocheck bootstrap and then to rebuild stuff with tests enabled.
