No other kernel messages (see dmesg)?
Also, could you run cpufreqd through gdb[1] and send me the backtrace of
the crash?

[1]: if you don't know how, do the following:
# gdb cpufreqd
... bla bla gdb banner...
> r -D
... cpufreqd crashes ...
> bt
... send me those lines (or the full gdb session)...
