Package: ext2resize Version: 1.1.19-3 Followup-For: Bug #341703
Hi, Having forgotten that the already installed resizer was called resize2fs, I hunted around and found this package, read the description (or so I thought) and ended up making the bold move of backporting ext2resize to sarge, rather than notice that resize2fs was already there. No harm done (apart from some wasted time), but I think I might have noiced the resize2fs reference if it wasn't burried in a paragraph about online resizing. Perhaps a last sentence on it's own reading thus, would make things clearer: =-=-=- ext2resize resizes ext2 and ext3 filesystems. This is useful if you run out of space on one partition, or have too much free space on another. Online resizing is also supported, this allows to enlarge mounted filesystem. Online resizing support was added to the linux kernel in version 2.6.10. Warning: Although the program is quite safe these days, if you do something wrong things will go wrong badly. Watch out when using programs like this. For offline resizing, consider using the resize2fs program from e2fsprogs. =-=-=- Cheers, Phil. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
