when running xfs_growfs as root, it does not recognize my XFS partition. Here is the output I get running as root: $ xfs_growfs -n -d /dev/hda1 xfs_growfs: /dev/hda1 is not a mounted XFS filesystem But /dev/hda1 is definitely an XFS filesystem: $ mount | grep hda1 /dev/hda1 on / type xfs (rw,logbufs=8) If you need more info or debug runs, feel free to ask.
