First of all, please excuse me for taking several months to answer to your bug report! Secondly: Please give me some more information, to be able to understand the problem! Does it still happen? Which kernel were you trying to update from / to? In what consisted the failure? Are you sure you had enough free space in the /boot/firmware partition? Do note that, as part of the kernel update, the kernel and initrd are copied into this partition, and if it is too small or has had too many updates, it might lead to failure. – Gunnar.
