Hello, My previous release is: bookworm I am upgrading to: trixie Archive date: Not sure, upgrade done on 10th August 2025 Upgrade date: 10th August 2025, around 10 UTC+2 uname -a before upgrade: not available as didn't think of running it uname -a after upgrade: Linux kolibri 6.12.38+deb13-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.12.38-1 (2025-07-16) x86_64 GNU/Linux Method: change `/etc/apt/sources.list` to point to trixie Then: * apt update * apt upgrade --without-new-pkgs * apt full-upgrade Contents of /etc/apt/sources.list: ------ #deb cdrom:[Official Debian GNU/Linux Live 12.10.0 xfce 2025-03-15T09:09:36Z]/ bookworm main non-free-firmware # Päivitetty bookworm->trixie deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ trixie main non-free-firmware deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian/ trixie main non-free-firmware deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security trixie-security main deb-src http://security.debian.org/debian-security trixie-security main # trixie-updates, to get updates before a point release is made; # see https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-reference/ch02.en.html#_updates_and_backports deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ trixie-updates main deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian/ trixie-updates main # This system was installed using small removable media # (e.g. netinst, live or single CD). The matching "deb cdrom" # entries were disabled at the end of the installation process. # For information about how to configure apt package sources, # see the sources.list(5) manual. ------ - Were there any non-Debian packages installed before the upgrade? If so, what were they? Steam, Discord, Sublime text have been installed but they probably don't contribute to this. - Was the system pre-update a 'pure' system only containing packages from the previous release? If not, which packages were not from that release? Yes, this was pure, except for the non-Debian packages - Did any packages fail to upgrade? No. - Were there any problems with the system after upgrading? During the upgrade, I was using KDE Plasma, X Window version. I left the upgrade running and came to check it a bit later. The screen lock had crashed or something, and there were friendly instructions on the screen. However, the instructions said to go to a virtual tty, log in, and type: logictl unlock-session 2 I did just that, but got only the error that `logictl` does not exist. After getting on an another computer and searching for this type of error, I figured out that the proper command is loginctl unlock-session 2 So, I think this is not a major issue but the typo in the instructions should be fixed. I have no idea where it is and I'm not grepping the debian package sources to figure it out. Just add the 'n' in the proper place, please. Further Comments/Problems: Please attach the output of "COLUMNS=200 dpkg -l" (or "env COLUMNS ...", depending on your shell) from before and after the upgrade so that we know what packages were installed on your system. No, I don't think I will. Just find out the 'logictl' and fix the typo. Thank you.
