Debdelta is just a wrapper that analyzes the .deb files and prepares chunks of data to pass to a backend; the backend may be any binary delta difference compressor program. As you see from that web page, I evaluated many backends; it turns out that 'xdelta' is one of the best choices. So I am very interested in solving this bug. Since you have already looked into it, any help or suggestion is appreciated.
