I'm not part of the infrastructure team, but I do know upgrading those to 256GB
at least puts arm64 back in the (lower) ballpark as compared to the ppc64el
machines. That would be an improvement in theory over the current situation,
*provided* the ARM ISA used by those machines is the same one that Debian is
targeting -- there's a lot of fragmentation and incompatibility in the ARM
space still, so I'd recommend verifying that with a build test before buying
one.
