Package: mrtg
Version: 2.17.10-13
Severity: serious

Dear Maintainer,

The patch 010_enable-www-dir.patch should be removed from the package because
it breaks cfgmaker as it is designed to work.

I believe this a Debian policy violation per section 4.3.

MRTG upstream documentation states cfgmaker should be run with following syntax:

cfgmaker --global 'WorkDir: /var/foo/bar/mrtg' <etc...>

However since the aforementioned patch of cfgmaker source forces a default
WorkDir of the maintainer's choosing on every run of cfgmaker, you will get a
mrtg.cfg output which has two uncommented WorkDir directives. One from the
patched cfgmaker, the second from the command line.

The Debian package already ships with a default empty mrtg.cfg with the
suggested WorkDir so I don't understand why this was necessary.

Regards
Lloyd
