This and the assertion message probably indicate that this is a bug in
gtk2-engines-murrine, so I'm reassigning it. (gtk2-engines-murrine
developers: please see the original bug report against gimp for the
backtrace.)
Can this crash be reproduced with the Adwaita theme from the
gnome-themes-extra package?
Please try this, or some other theme that is based on the
gtk2-engines-pixbuf theme engine.
