Iām not aware of anything in Debian that makes use of this, yet.
My own use-case is that I have a function called from my .profile that prints a
banner containing a little information about the host, and I would like to add
a splash of colour to it (see attached).
I notice that Fedora have a thing that can make use of this colour in the shell
prompt (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/shell-color-prompt), so that is
another potential use case.
