Package: nfs-ganesha Version: 6.5-5 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Dear Maintainer, I have NFS Ganesha installed on a machine that is one of a 2 part gluster cluster. It has been working fine for years, but recently upgraded to Trixie, and now there is breakage. When I mount this nfs share to my machine (with krb5i security), and work with it for a while, a few minutes, it eventually stops responding and outputs the following backtrace in the logs. Once this occurs it no longer is accessible and requires a restart. This is how I mount /home directories to multiple machines, and therefore causes breakage on all those machines. if i mount via glusterfs FUSE filesystem it does work, so the problem appears to be ganesha specific. This bug reported from a different machine than the server, so the versions of packages below found by reportbug are not relevant. The server system is running a brand newly apt full-upgraded Trixie. -----------log output below---------- 18/08/2025 10:09:44 : epoch 68a2eaef : gluster1 : ganesha.nfsd-1015851[svc_41] gsh_backtrace :NFS STARTUP :MAJ :stack backtrace follows: /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0x88256) [0x7f5536288256] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0x5f500) [0x7f553625f500] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6(+0x3fdf0) [0x7f5536049df0] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(close_fsal_fd+0x41) [0x7f553622d011] /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ganesha/libfsalgluster.so(+0xba79) [0x7f5533916a79] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0x14b7ed) [0x7f553634b7ed] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0x14db3c) [0x7f553634db3c] /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ganesha/libfsalgluster.so(+0xd275) [0x7f5533918275] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0x148d7d) [0x7f5536348d7d] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0x149937) [0x7f5536349937] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(fsal_readdir+0x14c) [0x7f553623abac] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0x10caa4) [0x7f553630caa4] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0xf43af) [0x7f55362f43af] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0xf57a8) [0x7f55362f57a8] /usr/lib/ganesha/libganesha_nfsd.so.6.5(+0x59f83) [0x7f5536259f83] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libntirpc.so.6.3(+0x24c70) [0x7f553644ac70] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libntirpc.so.6.3(+0x21f39) [0x7f5536447f39] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libntirpc.so.6.3(+0x229f9) [0x7f55364489f9] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libntirpc.so.6.3(+0x2f1b9) [0x7f55364551b9] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6(+0x92b7b) [0x7f553609cb7b] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6(+0x1107b8) [0x7f553611a7b8] -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.38+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages nfs-ganesha depends on: ii dbus 1.16.2-2 ii libacl1 2.3.2-2+b1 ii libblkid1 2.41-5 ii libc6 2.41-12 ii libcap2 1:2.75-10+b1 ii libcom-err2 1.47.2-3+b3 ii libdbus-1-3 1.16.2-2 ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.21.3-5 ii libkrb5-3 1.21.3-5 ii libnfsidmap1 1:2.8.3-1 pn libntirpc6.3 <none> ii liburcu8t64 0.15.2-2 ii libuuid1 2.41-5 ii libwbclient0 2:4.22.3+dfsg-4 ii nfs-common 1:2.8.3-1 ii rpcbind 1.2.7-1 nfs-ganesha recommends no packages. nfs-ganesha suggests no packages.
