Package: hw-probe Version: 1.6.5-1 Severity: important After upgrading to Trixie I launched hw-probe with command:
> DISPLAY=":1" hw-probe -all -check -upload hw-probe stop at "Reading logs" and doesn't terminate. Retrying with "-list -log-level maximal" the last output is: > Reading logs ... > logs/dmesg.1 >Executing: journalctl -a -k -b -1 -o short-monotonic 2>/dev/null | grep -v systemd and hw-probe still doesn't terminate. Execution of "journalctl -a -k -b -1 -o short-monotonic 2>/dev/null | grep -v systemd" give a lot of kernel output and end correctly. In hw-probe log dir I can find dmesg and xorg.log, but no xorg.conf or grub files. I lack mcelog because doesn't exist anymore in Trixie, but hw-probe should check if it exist before executing it. -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (990, 'stable-updates'), (990, 'stable-security'), (990, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.12.41+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages hw-probe depends on: ii acpica-tools 20250404-1 ii curl 8.14.1-2 ii dmidecode 3.6-2 ii hdparm 9.65+ds-1.1 ii hwinfo 21.82-1.1+b2 ii libwww-perl 6.78-1 ii lm-sensors 1:3.6.2-2 ii lsb-release 12.1-1 ii mesa-utils 9.0.0-2+b2 ii pciutils 1:3.13.0-2 ii perl [libdigest-sha-perl] 5.40.1-6 ii perl-base 5.40.1-6 ii smartmontools 7.4-3 ii usbutils 1:018-2 Versions of packages hw-probe recommends: ii alsa-utils 1.2.14-1 ii cpuid 20250316-1 ii edid-decode 0.1~git20220315.cb74358c2896-1.1 ii ethtool 1:6.14.1-1 ii fdisk 2.41-5 ii i2c-tools 4.4-2 pn iw <none> pn mcelog <none> ii memtester 4.7.1-1 pn pnputils <none> ii sysstat 12.7.5-2 ii upower 1.90.9-1 ii vainfo 2.22.0+ds1-2 ii vdpauinfo 1.5-3 ii vulkan-tools 1.4.304.0+dfsg1-1 pn wireless-tools <none> ii x11-utils 7.7+7 ii x11-xserver-utils 7.7+11 ii xinput 1.6.4-1 hw-probe suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
