`gbp import-orig` supports options --symlink-orig and --no-symlink-orig corresponding to to `uscan` options --symlink and --no-symlink. There seems to be no equivalent for `uscan` option --rename, however. And worse, it seems either of --symlink-orig or --no-symlink-orig is _always_ applied, as even setting USCAN_SYMLINK=rename in /etc/devscripts.conf is ignored when running `gbp import-orig`. The --rename option is particularly relevant when maintaining many packages as direct subdirectories to one common directory, and some of those packages use git mode where the (synthesized) upstream source filename is just the version number: That has a high risk of collision.
