Thanks for answering, David. I sometimes write in Brazilian Portuguese, using EN-US (intl.) or Brazilian keyboards directly. If I want, for instance, an "á" I type "´" (the one on the right of ";" in EN-US and to the right of P in PT-BR keyboard) followed by "a". The small window appears after I press the accent key, showing that accentlike waiting for the character to be accented. When I type that character to accented that small window remais there, with nothing in it. I may provide screenshots, if it helps to describe the problem.
