Package: login.defs Version: 1:4.17.4-2 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Dear Maintainer, Setting "USERGROUPS_ENAB no" does nothing, the group for creating new files stays the same, with the same umask. This applies to both existing users as newly created users. I would expect new files to have "users" as group instead of their own username and have an umask of 022. The same applies to "UMASK 022", entered values are not used. -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.15.10-2-liquorix-amd64 (SMP w/28 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_USER Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- Configuration Files: /etc/login.defs changed [not included] -- no debconf information
