Thanks for the heads-up, sramacher. However I've been planing for some time now to ask for spek removal from Debian, because upstream has been quite dormant for two years and I don't think he has any intention to update Spek to ffmpeg 8.0.
https://github.com/alexkay/spek/issues/300 Moreover there is already the sox package in Debian, which can make a spectrogram from an audio file, plus much more; whereas Speck is just a glorified GUI for an audio spectrogram.
