util-linux (2.40~rc2-7): * Stop installing addpart, delpart, please use partx insteadBut AFAICS partx does not allow to do what addpart does, i.e. add an arbitrary partition without reading a partition table. This is useful in some uses cases such as data recovery when the partition table has been damaged.
