octave-stk FTBFS against octave 10 (which currently stands in
experimental).
Would it be acceptable to change the three failing BISTs from "test"
to "xtest"?
The offending function is stk_param_relik. We could also patch this
function to display a warning (or error) message when it is run on
Octave version 10.
Sorry I have not followed the discussion, and I don't really understand
what the problem is.
Take a look at the thread at https://bugs.debian.org/1114624.
Sébastian concluded that “[i]t seems that this is a memory management bug
in Octave itself.”
In any case, it seems that the code in STK is not the cause of the
problem.
But one thing is sure: if this particular function does not work as
expected, then essentially the entire package becomes useless ;-)
Ok, you gave a perfect answer to my question. We are stuck and should
wait until the issue is fixed in Octave.
Best,
