libgalago-gtk0 ships locale data below /usr/share/locale:
/usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/libgalago-gtk.mo
/usr/share/locale/pt_BR/LC_MESSAGES/libgalago-gtk.mo
this will be a pain on SONAME changes as the new package will need to
conflict with the old one.
The upstream package should be changed to use a versionned name to
access locale data, or the package should be split with a -common and
dependencies permitting the old libgalago-gtk to use the new locale.
The later only works if libgalago-gtk only adds locale information
without ever removing anything, and hence is risky.
