I've reduced the severity on this bug. As noted in my previous update, it was blocking the migration of yggdrasil, which in turn was blocking the migration of nncp, which contains a security fix. Packages that use Quic can be trivially adapted to the new interface using the instructions at https://github.com/quic-go/quic-go/releases/tag/v0.53.0 . You can see how I adapted yggdrasil for the newer quic at: https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/yggdrasil/-/blob/debian/sid/debian/patches/fix-newer-quic.patch?ref_type=heads This bug is causing anything that uses quic to be unable to migrate to testing. At the same time, while I agree with the sentiment of the submitter, it is unclear what action should be taken within *this* package to fix it, now that it is already in unstable. I don't think an epoch'd downgrade is really warranted, considering it is likely that all packages using it will support this version before the next release anyhow. Having this bug RC, therefore, only introduces harm and provides no actual assistance, so I'm downgrading it. John
