As per the bug log[1] gnome-colors has some reverse dependencies so it
can't easily be removed from Debian. Thus I've moved the packaging to
Salsa[2] where it possibly might be picked up easier by some future
maintainer. I've also fixed bug #951515 in Git.
However, I think for the following reasons this package should be
orphaned:
- NMU to fix RC bug
- Bugs filed against the package do not have answers from the
maintainer.
- There are QA issues with the package.
- Not on Salsa but it could profit from team maintenance
- No maintainer upload in the last 11 years
- Standards-Version < 4
That's why I'm reassigning this bug to the package and retitle it to
"Intend to Orphan: gnome-colors". I'll do so after a waiting period of
21 days (similarly to the established Salvage procedure) and will upload
after this waiting period to delayed=10.
Anybody who intends to give more love to this package is kindly invited
to do so. I'll happily add permissions to the repository and would be
happy to sponsor this package.
