Incidentally, I myself stumbled over this issue first in February 2025, with the 6.12.x from bookworm-backports (I think it was 6.12.11). But in August 2025, when I attempted to reproduce it with 6.12.38 in bookworm-backports, the issue was no longer present. I did not bisect or anything, but instead assumed that this was indeed a bug, that had eventually been discovered and fixed. Best, Christian
