As I noted in #1078139, the purpose of src:golang-defaults is to
control the "default" version of Go for most packages in Debian, so it
would probably be helpful to have someone do a test rebuild with 1.25
so we can have confidence that we aren't breaking things beforehand
(perhaps with an upload to experimental?), or coordinate a transition
of explicit rebuilds (post-upload).

That's correct -- if you look closely at the version number of the
package, it's a "native" package, so a watch file isn't really
appropriate nor would it do the "correct" thing.  The package is
almost entirely virtuals and symlinks, but the chosen version number
does intentionally correspond with the "upstream" Go version it's
currently pointing/defaulting to.
