Dear Maintainer,

I installed curseofwar(6) and started it like this inside foot(1):

curseofwar -S hex

I only saw the text “W#W” 5 times and I should have seen it 6 times.

This means that part of curseofwar(6) was invisible. I think that it
is due to a color it is drawn is matching the foot background color,
in particular a dark gray that SHOULD be visible in usual terminals.

In both xterm(1) and xfce4-terminal(1) this bug does not happen with
their respective default coloring schemes.

You might need to execute “curseofwar -S hex” several times, because
the bug sometimes does not trigger due to some user interface colors
being chosen at random at startup. I just tried it 5 times – the bug
was triggered only 3 times.

This makes curseofwar(6) basically unusable when using foot(1) … any
other software that relies on “terminal background” not matching the
dark gray would break as well.
