It seems upstream fixed this in <https://github.com/iovisor/bcc/commit/594ab9a9b0e3dfa7cf8fc7f28923ba0eb33a5c66> which has been part of upstream releases ever since v0.27.0. So I guess this bug here had been fixed with the upload of 0.28.0 in <https://tracker.debian.org/news/1487752/accepted-bpfcc-0280ds-1-source-into-unstable/> and could just be closed with that version.
