qvge fails to cross build from source, because it runs bare qmake rather than a qmake prefixed with the host triplet. As a result, it configures for the build architecture and that tends to not go well for missing dependencies. Using dh_auto_configure fixes this. While it implies the -makefile flag, it does not imply the -r flag, so that one needs to be retained. I'm attaching a patch for your convenience. Helmut
