Package: toilet Version: 0.3-5 Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Hello Kirill! Firstoff, thanks a lot for implemented the feature I requested in bug [#499456]! The new option '-c, --center' (which corresponds to a new 'center' filter) works nicely. [#499456]: <https://bugs.debian.org/499456> The only missing thing is that the 'center' filter leaves trailing spaces in the output: $ toilet -f smblock -c ciao ▗ ▞▀▖▄ ▝▀▖▞▀▖ ▌ ▖▐ ▞▀▌▌ ▌ ▝▀ ▀▘▝▀▘▝▀ Please note that the output includes trailing spaces, up to the desidered width. A user could prefer to not have these trailing spaces, hence a filter to drop trailing spaces could be very useful. This filter should have the same effect as piping the output through sed -e 's/ *$//' Can this filter be implemented, please? Thanks for your time and dedication! :-) -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (800, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.38+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages toilet depends on: ii libc6 2.41-12 ii libcaca0 0.99.beta20-6 ii toilet-fonts 0.3-5 toilet recommends no packages.
