I tried a clean install of Trixie in a vm last night and found that it
no longer installs isc-dhcp-client by default, but instead has dhcpcd.
It works fine for IPv4, but when I tried enabling IPv6, ifup declared:

No DHCPv6 client software found!

It seems that it does not think that dhcpcd can do IPv6.

In addition, while it had already started dhcpcd and bound the IPv4
address, it declared bringing up the interface a failure, killed dhcpcd
so that it would not keep renewing the lease, but left the interface up
and bound to that address.
