For the record, this bug needs not (and probably is better not) fixed before the asahi drivers are upstreamed and we stop using downstream asahi kernels: we should not force downstream kernel packagers and downstream distros to follow the Debian kernel maintainers' conventions if not even us in Debian use that kernel. Plus right now update-m1n1 efficiently filters for 'asahi' in the kernel string, which linux-version can't do without extra tweaks.
